“Uncorking Flavor: Highlights from the Del Mar Wine + Food Festival Opening Night Party”

The Del Mar Wine + Food Festival, now in its third year, took place from September 10 to 14, showcasing a range of events that included food, wine, and sports-themed activities. The festival kicked off with an opening night party at the Monarch Ocean Pub, hosted by San Diego Magazine’s publisher, Troy Johnson. This vibrant event featured a rooftop setting, DJ performances, and plenty of dancing, creating a festive atmosphere for attendees.

Alongside the opening party, the festival’s itinerary included four celebrity chef wine dinners, a pickleball tournament, an after-party, and a grand outdoor tasting event that spanned two days. This year’s festival also focused on supporting the community, raising over $75,000 for Feeding San Diego prior to the event.
