Flint Institute of Arts Celebrates Over Two Decades of Wine Tastings with Final Event

Chris Lehoux, March 16, 2025

For nearly 25 years, the Flint Institute of Arts (FIA) has partnered with the Junior League of Flint to provide the community with an annual wine tasting event that celebrates fine wines and local arts. This longstanding tradition will host its final event, themed “La Dolce Vita,” on Saturday, March 22, reflecting on its significant cultural impact in Flint.

The event will start with a VIP Sponsor Reception from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Willson and Bray Renaissance Galleries, followed by the main event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s galleries until 8 p.m., with over 50 fine wines available for tasting. The evening will conclude with a dessert and coffee social from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This edition will also feature a special menu created by Flint Social Club, luxury casino-style gaming provided by Deke’s ParaDice Casino, and a wine pull that offers rare bottle chances. It’s a night designed for enjoyment, without real money being exchanged.

Tracee Glab, FIA Executive Director, expressed a sense of bittersweet nostalgia regarding the event’s conclusion. She highlighted the event as a community cornerstone that has fostered memorable experiences over two decades. The proceeds will support FIA’s programs for PreK-12 students and the initiatives led by the Junior League of Flint.

Tickets are priced at $100 for FIA and Junior League members and $125 for non-members. Each ticket includes six one-ounce wine samples, a souvenir wine glass, and a $50 designated driver ticket for responsible enjoyment. Attendees are encouraged to dress in cocktail or Riviera-themed attire.
