KELSEYVILLE, CA — On September 20, 2025, the Lake County Wine Alliance hosted the 24th Annual Wine Auction at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa, channeling the vibrant spirit of the 1980s. The event successfully raised over $100,000, benefiting more than three dozen nonprofits and local educational programs.

The festivities kicked off with Clearlake City Manager Alan Flora as the master of ceremonies, engaging around 400 guests who donned bold 80s attire. Auctioneer Robert Irwin encouraged lively bidding for the evening’s offerings. Flora emphasized the event’s community impact, stating, “There are 39 local groups and programs that will be supported with your giving today,” and thanked the wine industry for its quality contributions.

Special guests included Congressman Mike Thompson and Allie Davari from the Konocti Harbor Resort. Davari expressed gratitude for the support that enables the resort to thrive once more. Thompson praised the auction’s role in uplifting the local community by supporting passionate organizations dedicated to seniors, youth, and the arts.

Other speakers, including representatives from Sutter Health and Lake County Tribal Health, echoed the sentiments of community involvement, with Sutter Health CEO Timothy Stephens highlighting the auction as more than just an event but a movement focused on community welfare. Since its inception, the alliance has raised over $3 million for local causes.

The evening also featured a culinary showcase, with 12 local restaurants providing an array of appetizers, from corn salad crafted by Clear Lake High School culinary students to exquisite desserts like mini cheesecakes from local bakers. Silent and live auctions presented an array of unique items, with top bids reaching $17,500 for an exclusive experience at the Ogulin House and $17,000 for a dinner with Congressman Thompson.

Dinner was served family-style, with signature dishes from the Konocti Harbor Restaurant complemented by salads made by culinary students. The event was underpinned by a commitment to support various community initiatives, ensuring both enjoyment and a charitable purpose for all attendees.
