Far Niente Wine Group Appoints New CEO: A New Era Begins

Far Niente Wine Estates, a prestigious Napa Valley wine portfolio, has appointed Shawn Conway as its new CEO. He takes over from interim CEO Carol Reber, who will transition to the role of chairman of the board.

Conway brings with him three decades of experience in leadership roles across the wine, coffee, and spirits sectors. Before this appointment, he served as the CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, where he contributed to the enhancement of its luxury wine portfolio. His previous experiences include significant positions at Peet’s Coffee, including CEO, COO, and chief supply chain officer, as well as nearly ten years at SKYY Spirits.

In a statement, Conway highlighted the unique legacy of Far Niente, which is known for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The brand, which has been owned by GI Partners since 2016 and Apax Partners since 2021, comprises six brands: Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel, Bella Union, Post & Beam, EnRoute, and Dolce, managing over 400 acres of vineyards in the Napa and Russian River valleys.
