Dushore’s Valentine’s Day Celebration: Winter Wine and Chocolate Walk! Chris Lehoux, February 2, 2026 Dushore is set to host its 11th Winter Wine and Chocolate Walk next weekend, an event designed to invigorate local business during the typically slow January and February months. The initiative aims to draw visitors to Dushore and highlight its various businesses. According to Dushore Mayor Mary Beth Minier, local businesses are participating by welcoming wineries and chocolatiers to sell their products. This allows visitors to explore what Dushore has to offer. Fifteen businesses are taking part this year, including The Jolly Trolley. Owner Kim Frank noted the increase in foot traffic, mentioning that it often leads to repeat visits when the town isn’t as crowded. The event will feature a variety of vendors, including wineries, breweries, distilleries, chocolatiers, and even a mobile cigar lounge. A dessert contest will also take place, encouraging participants to submit their creations for judging in two categories: best presentation and best tasting. The Winter Wine and Chocolate Walk is free to attend and falls on Valentine’s Day this year, adding a special touch to the festivities. Mayor Minier emphasized the theme, saying, "We have plenty of Valentines, hearts, candies, and wines. What’s better on Valentine’s Day than hearts, candy, and wine?" The event will be held next Saturday from 12 PM to 5 PM at 15 participating businesses in Dushore.
