40 Metro Phoenix Restaurants Celebrated for Their Exceptional Wine Programs

Every year, Wine Spectator magazine honors restaurants in the U.S. for their exceptional wine programs, categorized into three levels: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence, and the Grand Award, which is the highest honor. This year, Arizona saw a strong representation with 32 establishments receiving the Award of Excellence and 27 receiving the Best of Award of Excellence.

The Award of Excellence is conferred to restaurants boasting wine lists featuring at least 75 selections from quality producers that align with the restaurant’s menu. In contrast, the Best of Award of Excellence is given to those with a commitment to wine, featuring at least 350 selections that make these venues a hotspot for wine enthusiasts.

Among the recipients of the Award of Excellence in metro Phoenix are notable names such as Arrowhead Grill, Dolce Vita Bistro, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, and Morton’s the Steakhouse, to name a few.

On the other hand, the Best of Award of Excellence winners included esteemed restaurants like Bourbon Steak, The Capital Grille, Mastro’s City Hall, and Virtu Honest Craft.
