Bevineau Inc. has expanded Ponder Wine, an interactive platform designed to help wine travelers discover vineyards, wineries and viticulture destinations around the world.

The platform brings vineyard and winery locations together in a searchable database, combining geographic information with details intended to help users explore destinations and identify potentially less busy times to visit. Bevineau says its approach aims to include properties that may have little online presence and are easy to miss through conventional searches or mapping services.

The database uses publicly available information and geographic data to identify and organize viticulture-related locations. During development, Bevineau’s Cory Mack encountered a vineyard with virtually no conventional digital footprint. Further research revealed circumstances that affected its ability to operate like a traditional winery. The experience helped shape the platform’s goal of making wine discovery broader than simply finding businesses that rank highly in search results.

Ponder Wine is intended for both casual travelers planning a winery visit and wine enthusiasts looking to explore lesser-known vineyards, regions and producers. Its latest interface presents vineyard terrain alongside location-specific information, with an emphasis on making exploration straightforward.

Bevineau plans to continue expanding the platform over the next six to 12 months. The company’s longer-term aim is to develop technology that can serve a wider range of people across the viticulture industry, beyond consumers planning visits.
