Del Mar Wine & Food Festival to Feature Wine Events and Celebrity Chef Dinners at Local Inn

Chris Lehoux, September 23, 2024

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is designated as the venue for various activities during the upcoming Del Mar Food and Wine Festival. This second installment of the festival includes a series of events that will culminate with the Grand Tasting at the Surf Sports Park in Del Mar on Oct. 5-6, where guests can enjoy culinary creations from renowned chefs and local eateries alongside a selection of over 200 wines, beers, and spirits.

From Oct. 3-5, The Inn will facilitate numerous wine seminar sessions featuring blind tastings guided by master sommeliers, insightful panel discussions, and exclusive tastings of uncommon wines presented by prominent figures from the national wine scene. Attendees have the option to buy tickets for individual seminars at $200 each, with various event packages offered as well.

On Thursday, Oct. 3, the Italian themed Trattoria di Prato dinner will take place outdoors on the lawn of The Inn from 6 to 9:30 p.m. The evening starts with a reception featuring passed hors d’oeuvres in the bar area, followed by a four-course Italian meal prepared by celebrated chefs Rocco DiSpirito, Jackson Kalb, and Jason McLeod. The price for admission to this dining experience is set at $300.

The following day, Oct. 4, brings the Napa Luxe event, putting a spotlight on top wine producers from Napa from 6 to 9 p.m. Here, attendees will experience a walkaround tasting event on the lawn where Napa wineries present their best offerings, complemented by pairing stations meticulously arranged by The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe’s culinary team and Extraordinary Desserts, available for $225 per ticket.

General admission tickets to the Del Mar Wine and Food Festival are $165. A portion of the festival’s proceeds benefits Feeding San Diego. For tickets and additional details about the event, visit delmar.wine.
