Save the Date: 2025 Anderson Valley Pinot Festival – May 16-17 in Philo, CA!

Chris Lehoux, April 21, 2025

Anderson Valley, located in Mendocino County, is often regarded as a hidden gem among California’s wine regions. While places like Sonoma and Napa are popular and easily accessible, Anderson Valley’s scenic beauty and fine wines frequently go unnoticed by many wine lovers. The region has always produced exceptional Pinot Noir, but recent years have seen a resurgence of quality driven by new, talented winemakers based in the valley.

The annual Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival is set to take place on May 16-17, 2025, and promises to deliver an unforgettable weekend for wine enthusiasts, particularly those with an appreciation for Pinot Noir. This event offers a mix of wine tastings, educational activities, and delightful culinary experiences, making it an ideal getaway.

The festival kicks off with a technical conference on Friday, which is perfect for both serious wine aficionados and producers. Following this, attendees can participate in vineyard tours to learn about sustainable viticulture practices. The day concludes with a welcome BBQ, featuring plentiful Pinot Noir, lively music, and opportunities for attendees to connect.

The highlight of the weekend is the Grand Tasting on Saturday, where numerous wineries from Anderson Valley will showcase their finest Pinot Noir. For those interested in sparkling wines, a Sparkling Wine Lounge will be available for an additional charge, offering exclusive sampling experiences. A silent auction will also take place, allowing attendees to bid on valuable wines or unique local experiences.

If guests choose to stay in the valley, they can enjoy Sunday with free drop-in tastings at various wineries, with some offering appointments and fees.
