Jessica Biel Launches Sonoma County Wine Brand at BottleRock Napa Valley 2025

While Justin Timberlake is set to headline BottleRock Napa Valley this Saturday, Jessica Biel, his wife, will be making her own splash at the festival. She will introduce her wine label, Prophet & Poet, which she launched in collaboration with Jesse Katz, a winemaker from Sonoma County.

The story behind this label began in 2019 when Katz, the founder of Aperture Cellars in Healdsburg, created a red wine blend as a wedding gift for Biel’s brother, Justin Biel. Katz, also a family friend, previously crafted a wine for Biel’s wedding to Timberlake in 2012. The connection inspired them to transform the blend into a commercial label, and Biel was enthusiastic about the idea.

Biel shared her thoughts on the collaboration in an interview with InStyle, saying, “If I’m ever going to get involved with any sort of winemaking situation, these are the people who know what they’re doing.” The authenticity of the project was essential to her, prompting her to jump in enthusiastically.

The name of the label symbolizes the union of her brother, a writer, and his wife, a shaman. The label features tarot-inspired artwork as a tribute to the couple. Katz has also collaborated with Christopher and Ariel Jackson from Jackson Family Wines for the label’s first release, utilizing grapes from Jackson Family vineyards and blending them at his state-of-the-art facility.

The inaugural releases from Prophet & Poet include a Cabernet Sauvignon, two Chardonnays, and two blended reds, which are currently available through their website. Biel and Katz will be present at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival to personally pour their wine during a VIP event in the Platinum Lounge on Friday.
