Oakley’s Beloved Wine Shop to Close Its Doors After 7 Years of Service

A beloved wine shop in Cincinnati’s Oakley neighborhood is set to close its doors permanently after seven years of operation. Oakley Wines, situated at 4011 Allston Street near Oakley Square, shared the news on Instagram, revealing that its last day of service will be Sunday, July 27.

Owner Stephanie Webster explained that the decision to shut down was not made lightly, noting the emotional weight it carries. "This place means so much to so many people, including myself," she stated, reflecting on the community built over the years.

Webster attributed the closure to significant life changes, particularly the arrival of her child. She expressed that managing two locations while balancing motherhood had become overwhelming, leading her to realize that she could not give Oakley Wines the attention it needed to thrive.

The shop is well-known for its selection of organic, low-intervention wines sourced from small producers, which were served at its bar, The Cellar. It also hosted a wine club and various special events. As a farewell, Webster plans to hold events leading up to the shop’s final day to properly celebrate its legacy.

In her heartfelt message, she expressed gratitude to all the staff, customers, and neighbors who have been part of the journey. "It’s been an absolute pleasure," she wrote.
