Celebrating Excellence: Three Award-Winning Wineries from the New York Wine Classic in the Finger Lakes Chris Lehoux, July 19, 2025 ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Finger Lakes region is celebrating after three wineries received accolades in the esteemed “2025 New York Wine Classic.” Weis Vineyards, located in Hammondsport, was recognized for both the best white wine and best pink wine, leading to its prestigious title as winery of the year. Additionally, Billsboro Winery in Geneva earned the award for best dessert wine, while Montezuma Winery from Seneca Falls was honored for best specialty wine with its crimson queen cranberry and rhubarb blend.
