VARA Shines at Two National Wine Competitions: A Celebration of Excellence

VARA Winery and Distillery has made a significant mark at two prestigious national wine competitions, showcasing its rising prominence in the wine industry. With accolades awarded at both the New York International Wine Competition on May 23 and the Sunset International Wine Competition from June 10-12 in Sonoma, California, VARA has established itself as a key player on the national stage.

The New Mexico-based winery garnered multiple medals, confirming its commitment to quality and excellence. In the New York competition, VARA’s Silverhead Brut earned a Double Gold medal with a remarkable score of 96 points. Other notable achievements include Gold and Silver medals for the Silverhead Zero Dosage and the VARAxLG Blanc de Blancs, respectively. The winery’s New Mexico Sparkling Brut also continued to impress, earning a Silver medal, while the Silverhead Brut Rosé secured a Bronze.

At the Sunset International Wine Competition, VARA received further recognition, securing a Double Gold for the VARAxLG Blanc de Blancs with a score of 98 points. Other winners included Gold for the Silverhead Brut and multiple Silver accolades for their sparkling wines.

With these achievements, VARA Winery and Distillery is poised to continue its journey of success, connecting the East and West Coast wine communities while offering exceptional products that highlight the unique terroir of New Mexico.
