Exciting News: A New Tasting Room in Wine Country Set to Make Its Debut!

Martha Stoumen, a notable figure in the natural wine industry, is set to open her first tasting room on October 9 in downtown Healdsburg, a significant milestone for her brand. This new space, located on Center Street, marks a new chapter for Stoumen, who has built a loyal customer base since launching her wine label in 2014 without a physical tasting venue.

Earlier this year, her brand was acquired by The Overshine Collective, led by former Google executive David Drummond. Despite this new partnership, Stoumen continues to retain control over her winemaking, viewing the tasting room as an incredible opportunity for creative expression. She looks forward to interacting with visitors and gaining insights from their experiences.

Stoumen’s new tasting room, a collaborative effort involving local artisans and her own family, embodies a community spirit. The design reflects her dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere, utilizing materials like cork and burlap for acoustics, alongside warm tones to enhance the sensory experience. She aims to create a space that feels both familiar and comfortable, allowing guests to escape into a unique ambiance reminiscent of a cozy café.

Opening day will feature multiple wine options available by the glass, flight, and bottle, along with a menu of rotating food items—encouraging patron feedback on what they enjoy. Stoumen hopes this adaptive menu will cater to community preferences and needs.
