Archer Roose and World Central Kitchen: Popping a Can for a Purpose

Archer Roose and World Central Kitchen Pop a Can for Purpose

With the holiday season approaching, Archer Roose Wines has partnered with José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen (WCK) to help provide meals for those in need. Beginning now and continuing through the end of the year, for every four-pack of Archer Roose wine sold through their website or various retailers, a meal will be donated to WCK. The company has committed to at least 1,000 meals, regardless of sales.

Marian Leitner-Waldman, CEO and founder of Archer Roose, expressed that the brand views wine as a means to foster connections and gathering around the table. The collaboration aims to extend that impact into communities facing food insecurity, particularly during the holiday season.

Tunde Wackman, WCK’s chief development officer, emphasized the significance of each meal in bringing comfort and hope, highlighting the partnership’s potential to significantly increase WCK’s outreach during this time of year.

Since its inception in 2010, World Central Kitchen has been instrumental in disaster relief, serving over 500 million meals globally, including in regions like the Philippines, Ukraine, and across the Middle East. The initiative is also supported by donations from organizations such as the Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation.

Leitner-Waldman noted that partnering with WCK underscores the connection between food and wine, recognizing José Andrés as a leading figure in humanitarian efforts and disaster relief. Under her leadership, Archer Roose has experienced impressive growth and has aligned itself with several prominent partners, including Jet Blue and major entertainment venues. The brand has witnessed over 50% growth year-on-year, with every SKU showing double-digit sales increases.

Despite this growth, Leitner-Waldman stressed the responsibility that comes with it, stating the importance of sharing and giving back to the community. She envisions expanding their charitable efforts with WCK as they have already seen strong sales and are on track to contribute thousands of meals this holiday season.
