Vinography Unboxed: Highlights from the Week of March 8, 2026 Chris Lehoux, March 15, 2026 Hello and welcome to another week of wine explorations! In this edition of Vinography Unboxed, I’ll be sharing some intriguing wines that have recently arrived for tasting. The lineup began with selections from Adelaida Vineyards and Winery located in Paso Robles, California. This winery, which has been crafting wines since the 1970s, sent a few delightful bottles including a Rhône-style white blend, a vibrant young Cabernet Franc, and my favorite, a bright and energetic Grenache Noir. Additionally, I tasted a Roussanne from Site Wine Co., a project by Adelaida’s winemaker Jeremy Weintraub. This wine is characterized by its classical complexity and richness. For those who enjoy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Wither Hills offers an accessible option that is tasty and reliable, priced at $15. From closer to home, Shalini Sekhar has been producing her own label, Ottavin, alongside her day job in winemaking. Her recent offerings include a lively Grüner Veltliner and an impressive rosé made from the lesser-known Austrian grape, St. Laurent. In Italy, Tenuta Sant’Antonio has created a standalone Corvina wine, the “Scaia” Rosso, which is fragrant and delicate. Similarly, I recommend the Villa Gresti Vigneti della Dolomiti red from San Leonardo, a classic Bordeaux blend from the picturesque Trentino region, designed for aging. Lastly, I tasted a Grenache from the renowned Weathereye Vineyard in Washington’s Yakima Valley, produced by Sleight of Hand Cellars. This wine delivers an intense expression of ripe fruit, made with 100% whole clusters—ideal for fans of bold styles.
