Savor the Best at the Wine Fare Tasting: Join Us on May 30 & 31 in San Francisco!

Chris Lehoux, May 14, 2026

More women than men graduate from the UC Davis Enology and Viticulture program annually, yet female winemakers remain significantly outnumbered by their male counterparts in California. Women also face underrepresentation as business owners and entrepreneurs within the industry. To address this disparity, it’s essential to support female winemakers and the small brands they establish.

The upcoming Wine Fare event, now in its eighth iteration, aims to highlight women in the natural and non-interventionist wine movement from California and around the globe. This casual and welcoming tasting event promises to be enjoyable while prioritizing an important cause.

Participating wineries include a diverse lineup such as Alluvial Wine & Spirits, Amy Atwood Selections, Analog Wine Co, Azizam Wines, and many others, totaling over 60 different brands showcasing their unique offerings. Whether you’re a natural wine enthusiast or simply curious about the movement, this tasting is an excellent opportunity for exploration and support.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, May 30th (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM) and Sunday, May 31 (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
  • Location: Catherine Clark Gallery, 248 Utah Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 (map)
  • Tickets: Approximately $66, with discounts available for those in financial need. Attendees can also contribute by purchasing tickets for others who may benefit. Volunteers are sought and will receive free entry in exchange for their support. Buy tickets here.

This tasting not only provides a great opportunity to enjoy wine but also aids in advancing gender equality in the wine industry.
