‘Large Format (Baby Got Casks)’ Triumphs in Wine Spectator’s 2025 Video Contest

Chris Lehoux, September 24, 2025

It’s time to celebrate the winners of the 2025 Wine Spectator Video Contest, a fun event that has crowned a group of wine lovers from Quincy, Illinois. Their entry, titled “Large Format (Baby Got Casks),” is a playful parody of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s hit song “Baby Got Back.” This talented group attends the Wine Spectator New York Wine Experience annually and aimed to capture attention with their humorous take on wine bottle sizes like Jeroboams and Nebuchadnezzars.

Lead by Bill Paxton, who has been a wine enthusiast since he began ordering wine for his software engineering team, the group crafted their winning entry in just two hours. Paxton, known for his light-hearted sense of humor, drew inspiration from his experiences and the idea that a wine barrel resembles a behind. His friends joined in to bring the parody to life, taking on various entertaining roles throughout the video, from Valley girls to quirky professors.

As a reward for their creativity, the group won two full weekend passes to the upcoming New York Wine Experience. Paxton already plans to attend, so he has generously decided to give the extra tickets to the videographers at Table 16 Productions, Chris and Victoria Kelley, who helped produce the video.

The contest also featured strong competition, with the runner-up being “Bacchus Loves Hills (Bacchus Amat Colles),” a cinematic homage to Spring Mountain wines by Napa filmmaker Evan Roscoe. His visually stunning film showcases both the beauty of rural vineyards and the labor of winemaking, highlighting the characters and landscapes of Napa.

In third place, “Wine with Lunch on Mondays” provides a window into the ethos of Gentleman Farmer, a winery located in downtown Napa. The vintners, Joey Wolosz and Jeff Durham, share their philosophy on savoring life through wine and food pairings, emphasizing genuine relationships with guests.

All finalists were awarded tickets to future New York Wine Experience events, and judged selections will be showcased for viewers to enjoy. For those keen to revisit the excitement, revisit the contest video and discover more about this vibrant community of wine lovers.
