Ste. Michelle, which ranks as the 10th-largest wine marketer in the U.S. with a volume of 5.3 million cases in 2024, has faced challenges, including declining sales from its value-priced brands. Since its acquisition by Sycamore Partners in 2021 for $1.2 billion, the company has sold off premium brands and reduced grape contracts in Washington.

The Wyckoff family, known for producing premium wine grapes and custom wines across Washington, Idaho, and Oregon, is now poised to revitalize the Ste. Michelle brand while maintaining its existing partnerships in Oregon. Despite the ownership change, Ste. Michelle will continue its role as the sales agent for several Oregon brands that remain under Sycamore’s control.
