Healdsburg Wine Event Supports Boys and Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin: A Toast to Community Giving Chris Lehoux, October 28, 2024 On October 13, more than 750 attendees enjoyed tasting Pinot Noir and sparkling selections from 66 wineries at Healdsburg Plaza, marking a record-breaking fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin. The Healdsburg Crush: Pouring on the Plaza event generated over $224,000 in funds, as announced by the nonprofit organization based in Santa Rosa. These funds will be allocated to support after-school programs and promote academic achievement for club members, as detailed in a news release from the Boys & Girls Clubs on October 22. VIP tickets were sold for $185, granting early entry to the festivities, whereas general admission tickets were priced at $135. Beyond the wine tasting experience, attendees participated in a silent auction and raffle, and enjoyed food offerings from seven local vendors. A standout feature of the auction was the offering of golf and lunch experiences with esteemed winemakers, a magnum from Adam Lee’s Clarice Wine Co. located in Windsor, and a VIP backstage experience provided by Bob Cabral Wines from Healdsburg. “We are overjoyed with the success of this year’s Healdsburg Crush. We have achieved a record high in funds raised for children,” stated Michelle Heery, chief strategy officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin in the announcement.
