Embracing Your Inner Hero: Finding Strength in Vulnerability Chris Lehoux, March 13, 2025 This morning, the shortlist for the Old Vine Hero Awards was announced, and I was surprised and honored to find my name included. Organized by the Old Vine Conference, the awards aim to honor those dedicated to the preservation and celebration of old vine vineyards worldwide. I have been nominated for my efforts with the Old Vine Registry in the category for Communication and Education. My time spent volunteering has been extensive, and while it can often feel tedious, there is a certain satisfaction that comes from meticulous organization. Although the registry is still developing, I take pride in its growth and evolution. Being recognized by the wine community, as well as the mysterious person who nominated me, is incredibly humbling. Voting is open now, and I encourage everyone to support this cause and acknowledge the passionate individuals working tirelessly for old vines. No matter the outcome for myself, I appreciate your support. Voting will close on March 26 at 21.00 GMT.
