Experience the Culinary Excellence: Taste of Vail Showcases World-Class Food and Wine in the Rocky Mountains

Chris Lehoux, March 31, 2025

One of the few nonprofit food festivals in the United States, Taste of Vail, is gearing up for its annual celebration from April 2-6, 2025. This event serves not only to highlight the culinary offerings of the Vail region but also to support local housing needs through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

Since its inception in 1990, Taste of Vail has aimed to position Vail as a premier culinary destination. This nonprofit festival invites both locals and travelers to engage with renowned chefs and partake in various educational seminars throughout the event. In 2019, the festival aligned with Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley, which aims to provide essential housing support to local families, enhancing the community’s fabric.

In its 34th year, Taste of Vail will feature an exciting lineup of meals and tastings curated by over 25 chefs from the Vail Valley alongside guest chefs from across the nation. Expect to find participating wineries from more than 50 wine producers, with headliners such as Tom Branighan, Nick Goellner, and Melissa Perello, among others.

Signature Events

Attendees can look forward to several key events during the festival, including:

  • Debut of Rosé – Donovan Pavilion, Wednesday, April 2, 3-6pm
  • Après Tasting on the Streets – Presented by Fitch Ranch Artisan Meat Co./Certified Angus Beef, Thursday, April 3, 3-6pm
  • Mountain Top Tasting – Eagles Nest, Atop Eagle Bahn Gondola, Friday, April 4, noon-2:30pm
  • 2025 Grand Tasting – The Hythe, Saturday, April 5, 5-8pm

For those interested, a Signature Event Pass provides access to all four signature events. VIP access is also available for an enhanced experience, which includes reserved seating and luxury gift bags.

Daily Seminars and Wine Dinners

In addition to tastings, Taste of Vail hosts daily wine dinners and seminars:

  • Opening Celebration Wine Dinner – Wednesday, April 2, 6:30-8:30pm, The Sonnenalp Hotel
  • Winemaker Dinner with Alma Rosa’s Samra Morris – La Tour Restaurant, Thursday, April 3, 7pm
