Get Ready for the Wine Tour: Lake County Farm Bureau Now Selling Tickets!

Chris Lehoux, May 4, 2025

The Lake County Farm Bureau has announced its 2025 Wine Tour, scheduled for May 17. This event is an opportunity for wine enthusiasts to experience some of the county’s best wineries while also supporting local agriculture.

The tour will kick off at Grand River Cellars, located at 5750 S. Madison Road in Madison, starting at 11:30 a.m. Attendees will board buses to visit five different wineries throughout the day. The itinerary will feature a tour of Debonne Vineyards’ press house, a vineyard talk and tasting at South River Vineyard, a tasting at Stonegait Winery, followed by another vineyard talk and a chocolate/wine tasting at Silver Crest Cellars. The day will wrap up with a dinner back at Grand River Cellars.

Ticket prices are set at $55 for Farm Bureau members and $120 for non-members. This fee covers bus transportation, tastings at each winery, private tours, dinner, and a complimentary Farm Bureau wine glass. Individuals interested in becoming Farm Bureau members can do so for $120, which offers a household membership for them and their spouse.

Registration is required by May 13 due to limited seating. Interested participants can register online at bit.ly/2025LakeWineTour or by calling 440-426-2195. Note that attendees must be 21 or older, and refunds will not be available.

Mandy Orahood, the Farm Bureau Organization Director, expressed excitement about the event: “We are excited to offer this opportunity to experience the best local wines while supporting Ohio’s agriculture. It’s a great way to spend a relaxing day with friends and family, all while contributing to the future of agriculture in our region.”
