From Page to Screen: Santa Barbara Wine Writer Takes on Central Coast TV Hosting Role

Chris Lehoux, July 25, 2025

Jamie Knee, a renowned wine-travel columnist known as the Petite Wine Traveler, is set to become a television host with her upcoming series Petite Wine Traveler Explores: California Central Coast. Produced by Emmy-winning Bounce Entertainment, the show will premiere in early 2026 and consists of ten episodes that celebrate the luxury wine-travel experience throughout California’s Central Coast.

In this series, Knee will explore diverse locations, from the picturesque landscapes of Santa Barbara to the iconic hills of San Luis Obispo and the coastal beauty of Monterey and Santa Cruz. Each episode invites viewers to savor the region’s best wines, featuring well-known varieties like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grenache, and Syrah, alongside rich culinary experiences. Audiences will witness Jamie’s visits to local markets and chefs’ gardens that enhance the farm-to-table movement.

Knee launched her blog in 2018 with the mission to honor exceptional wine regions and their communities. "I’m thrilled to finally pull back the curtain and showcase the Central Coast’s hidden gems," she expressed, emphasizing her aim to highlight family-run vineyards and warm hospitality. With local and national brands eager to collaborate, the series is poised to reveal not just stunning visuals but the heart and soul of California’s wine country.

Fans of wine and travel can look forward to an immersive experience that celebrates the unique flavors and experiences this region has to offer. Stay tuned for updates and sneak peeks as Jamie Knee invites viewers to join her on this delightful journey.
